Capitol Hill Thought Leadership Forum
In April 2010, AHI co-hosted a thought leadership panel discussion exploring the connection between animal and human health. The forum featured keynote addresses by the Honorable Fred Upton (R-Mich.) and the Honorable Kurt Schrader (D-Ore.), of the U.S. House of Representatives, and a panel including Dr. Bernadette Dunham, FDA’s Center for Veterinary Medicine; Dr. Ron DeHaven, American Veterinary Medical Association; Dr. Michael Greger, Humane Society; Dr. Jennifer Greiner, National Pork Producers Council; and Dr. Scott Hurd, Iowa State University College of Veterinary Medicine and former Deputy Undersecretary for Food Safety at the U.S. Department of Agriculture.
