Kansas State University receives $12M for zoonotic and animal disease research

Kansas State University will receive $12 million in research financing from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security as a “Center of Excellence” in zoonotic and animal disease defense.

The department announced the financing and the designation Friday. The research money will be spread out during a six-year period.
